Accommodation
The College has
two main accommodation areas for the
students. The Junior Course Students are
accommodated at JD Quarters and the
Senior Course Students are accommodated
in September 26 Quarters. Both
accommodations are self contained
apartment with all the accessories to
provide a maximum comfort to the
students while the JD Quarters is a
single room apartment. The September 26
Quarters is a double room apartment.
They are both well furnish and regularly
maintained by the college.

College
Work Production Centre
The Work Production Centre (WPC) of the College
was established in 1976 for the printing and
reproduction of instructional material. As a
result of the expansion of the College, the
centre was expanded and relocated to its present
location in December 1985; it was further
expanded in August 1993 with facilities to carry
out the following functions:
a. Offset printing of all types.
b. Colour separation printing.
c. Printing/Reproduction of maps.
d. Binding and production of vu-foils. |

College Library
The Armed Forces Command and
Staff College Library was established in
1976 at the inception of the College. It
moved to its permanent site within the new
Administrative complex in October 1990. The
library has space for a museum, an archive and
classified documents. The library serves as
information, documentation and research
centre, and has capacity to hold 300,000
volumes of books and seats about 300 readers
at a time. Since its inception the library
has built up a fine collection of books and
journals for reading and research.
Presently, it has stocks of over 30,000
bound volumes and subscribes to over 150 journal titles sourced from both local
and overseas outlets. It maintains an inter-library
cooperation with other libraries around the locality,
especially Ahmadu Bello University Library, British
Council and the United States of America Information
Centre. |

The library has embarked
on the indexing of all editorial
opinions, feature articles and
commentaries in relevant national and
international newspapers, magazines and
journals, which are concerned with
conflict prevention, peace, security and
defence issues generally. The Library is
also fully automated. Internet
facilities are available in the Library.
Participants are free to avail
themselves of the facility for their
research projects and term papers.

AFCSC Officers'
Mess
The College has unarguably the best officers’
mess in Nigeria. The superb edifice has a big
lodge, reception hall, well equipped restaurant,
hall of fame, cool room and a well spaced car
pack. The mess also has a chalet for guests. The
mess provides adequate comfort for both the
staff and students of the college.

Medical Facilities
The Cantonment Medical Reception Station (MRS)
is located near the 7 Demo Bn barracks along
Ibrahim Babagida Road. In addition, there is
a Sick Bay within the College complex. It is
located in front of Danjuma Hall to facilitate
medical treatment particularly during working
hour. Cases that cannot be treated in the Cantonment
MRS are referred to the Armed Force Reference
Hospital, Kaduna (AFRHK). They are other specialist
hospitals in Kaduna and Zaira towns which can
also render medical to staff and students promptly. |

Cyber Cafe
The
AFCSC Cyber Café also complement the service
of the College Library. This affords staff
and students the opportunity to carry out research
through the Internet. The Café provides
wireless service covering 5 km radius for staff
and students to avail themselves of the resources
of the Internet from the comfort of their hostels
and offices. |

Sports
and Games
Games and sports have
always played important part in building leadership
qualities. The College emphasizes this aspect
of training in order to ensure that staff and
students are physically fit and also to make
them relax from the stress caused by tedious
scholarship. The College has modern facilities
for playing tennis, swimming pool, squash rackets,
golf, badminton, football, hockey, volleyball,
squash and basketball. The College also has
an ultra-modern gymnasium and a well
maintained Golf Course. |

WIRELESS
BROADBAND AND INTERNET SERVICES:
The College has a dedicated
wireless broadband and internet service on 27/7 to
facilitate staff and student research efforts. The
internet is available both in the academic area as
well as in the residential quarters. Furthermore,
the college also operates a Cybercafé to further
assist student who do not have a personal computer.
The cybercafé is located within the residential
quarters and operates 24 hrs every day.
WORSHIP
CENTRE:
The College has adequate
worship centre for both the Muslims and Christians
faiths. Students and staff are at liberty to worship
at most convenient worship centre in the college.
SHOPPING FACILITIES:
The
College has many shopping centers around the
cantonment. In the college areas, the college
Souvenir Shops has variety of gift items and other
accessories.
