Commodore Milton Ogbonnaya Nwosu was born in Port Harcourt Rivers State in 1953 and hails from Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.  He joined the Nigerian Navy in 1979 as a Direct Entry General List Marine Engineering Officer.  He attended Municipal Council School Orogbum Port Harcourt from 1960-1965, Annunciation Secondary School Isuikwuator and the College Immaculate Conception Enugu from 1966-1973.  He also attended the University of Nigeria Nsukka from 1973-1978 where he obtained a BSc Honours  degree in Mechanical Engineering and the University of Ibadan from 2003-2004 where he obtained an MSc degree in Strategic Studies

COURSES ATTENDED
Commodore Nwosu since his commissioning into the Nigerian navy trained at the following military Institutions; Royal Naval Engineering College Manadon Plymouth UK 1981-1982, AFCSC Jaji Junior Division 1987, Royal Naval Sea Training School Weymouth England 1991, AFCSC Jaji Senior Division 1993-94 and National War College Nigeria, Abuja 2002-2003.

APPOINTMENTS HELD
Commodore Nwosu has held several appointments, some of which are; Engineering Officer NNS AGU, Staff Officer Engineering and Ship Spares at Naval Headquarters. He served as a Directing Staff Senior Division AFCSC Jaji, Fleet Support Maintenance Officer and Executive Officer Fleet Support Group West. He was also on secondment to the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Teshi Accra, as a Directing Staff and thereafter served as the Deputy General Manager Planning Nigerian Naval Dockyard Victoria Island Lagos. He was a Chief Instructor Junior Division and Member Curriculum Review Committee at AFCSC jaji in 2001 and 2002. He also served as General Manager Production Naval Dockyard Lagos before he was appointed to AFCSC Jaji as Director Department of Maritime Warfare in Jan 2006.

HOBBIES
Commodore Nwosu plays Golf at his leisure, enjoys reading and listening to soft music.

MARITAL STATUS
He is happily married to Princess Adanma Nwosu and blessed with 3 boys; Obinnaya, Enyinnaya and Ugochukwu aged 20,17 and 13 respectively.
