Born on 20 August 1959 at Ibadan in Ibadan North West LGA of Oyo State . Attended Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary school Ebute Metta Lagos , Ibadan Boys High School , Ibadan Polytechnics, University of Lagos and University of Port Harcourt . Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management. Commissioned into the Nigerian Navy as Sub Lieutenant on 27 February 1984.
 

Military Courses attended include: Weapons Engineering Officers Application Course UK , Intermediate Level Maintenance Course, Junior and Senior Staff Courses in Jaji.

Major appointments held include: Weapon/Electrical Engineering Officer Nigerian Navy Ships DAMISA, ENYIMIRI and ARADU, Manager Yard Services Nigerian Navy Shipyard Port Harcourt and Nigerian Navy Dockyard Victoria Island .

Directing Staff, Armed Forces Command and Staff College .
Chief Instructor, Department of Maritime Warfare Armed Forces Command and Staff College .
