Brig Gen Kingley Unogwu hails from Igumale in Ado Local Government Area, Benue State. He attended Wesley Primary School Igumale, Nigerian Military School, Zaria from 1968 – 1972 and Nigerian Defence Academy 1974 – 1976 and University of Ibadan where he obtained MSc in Strategic Studies.
 

COURSES ATTENDED
He attended several military courses, these include; Canadian Armed Forces school of Military Engineering British Colombia Feb – Dec 1978, Military Engineering Academy Moscow 1981, Engineering Advance Course Fort Belvoir USA 1989. He also attended Command and Staff College Jaji, National War College Course 10.

APPOINTMENTS HELD
Brig Gen Unogwu has held various appointments some of which include; Engr Tp Comd, Instr in NASME, OC Engr Maint Sqn, GSO 3 (Ops/Trg HQ 44DE), DAAG HQ NAE, SO 2 Quartering in AHQ, CI in NASME, CO 13 FER, Directing Staff Senior Division in CSC, Dy Dir Ops DHQ, Comd 43 Div Engrs, Comd DAMS, DMP(A) AHQ, D Plans AHQ and now D DJS.

His hobbies include swimming, listening to African Music and watching Nigerian films.
