Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Roberts Ejeh
was born on 17th April 1952,
in Ipole Ichama, in Okpokwu Local Government Area of
Benue State. He started his elementary school at St
John’s Catholic Primary School Ipole Ichama from 1957 to
1958, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Otukpo from 1959
to 1963 and Idoma Native Authority (NA) Senior Boarding
Primary School Otobi from 1964 to 1966. Thereafter, he
proceeded to St Francis Secondary School, Otukpo from
1967 to 1971. He enlisted into the Nigerian Air Force
as a potential pilot in January 1973 and attended his
Officer Cadets’ Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy,
Kaduna. He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant (Pilot
Officer) in June 1973.

Air Vice Marshal ER Ejeh has attended many military and
professional courses, some of which include:
Primary Flying Course – Student Pilot (SP9) at Primary
Training Flying Wing (PFTW) Kaduna, Under Graduate
Navigation Course – USAF, USA, Supply Officers Course,
Royal Air Force (RAF) – UK, Skills and Techniques of
Training, Crown Agent Training Centre, Eton Hall
International – UK, Supply and Material Management
Course, Crown Agent Training School, Worthington – UK.
He also attended Junior Command and Staff School (JCSS)
Kaduna, Senior Division Armed Forces Command and Staff
College (AFCSC) Jaji, where he graduated with
distinction and was an award winner of the enviable
College TIE and MERIT. Other courses attended include:
National War College (NWC) Abuja, University of Abuja
where he obtained his Bsc Political Science 2nd Class (Hons)
Upper Division and University of Ibadan for Masters
Degree in Strategies Studies.

AVM Ejeh has similarly held many appointments in the
Service, notable among which are: Section, Flight and
Squadron Commander at various supply units, ADC to the
Military Governor Plateau State, ADC to Air Officer
Commanding Training Command, Instructor in Supply School
NAF TTG, Commander HQ NAF Camp Lagos, SO1 Supply at HQ
Lagos Command and HQ NAF respectively, Directing Staff,
Department of Air Warfare, Armed Forces Command and
Staff College, (AFCSC) Jaji, Chief Instructor Department
of Air Warfare, Armed Forces Command and Staff College
Jaji. Other appointments include: Assistant Director,
Joint Service DHQ, Deputy Director Admin and Personnel
Services DHQ, Director of Logistics, Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna, Directing Staff National War
College Abuja, Moderator, National Institute for Policy
and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Air Officer
Commanding Logistics Command Lagos and presently
Commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji.
