Directing Staff:.
Students in all the departments are formed into
syndicates, which vary in size from 6 to a maximum
of 10 officers, under the control of a Directing
Staff (DS). The syndicates are reconstituted at the
end of each term. By this arrangement, each student
is given the opportunity of being assessed by a
different DS in each term. The College has at any
given time 4 DS from Ghana (2 Army, one Navy and one
Air Force) as a result of the exchange programme
with the Ghana Armed Forces Staff College (GAFSC).
Method of Instruction:.
Modern teaching equipment and training aids are
available, and various methods are used including
syndicate discussions, presentations and
demonstrations, indoor and outdoor practical
exercises. There are also individual and group
studies culminating in written reports and
presentations, lectures, major indoor exercises,
visits and tours. Resource persons are invited
to cover geo-political studies, military leadership,
acquaintance with the other Services and
introduction to computer.
